International contest for photographers
FotoSlovo invites photographers able to think out of the box. We are looking for authors who can surprise and tell stories through the images. That is why there are no restrictions for the participants in the choice of theme and methods of working with photographs.

  • Anna Laza
    Photographer, Founder and Chief editor of FotoSlovo
    Influential visual artist working in Art photography. Her work has been rewarded and been exhibited internationally. Winner in such contests as LensCulture, MonoVisions, Minimalist Awards and others. She regularly appears on prestigious jury lists for photographic events. Founder and Creative director of FotoSlovo Magazine.

    Photographer, Founder and CEO of FotoNostrum Group
    Director of FotoNostrum, The Mediterranean House of Photography in Barcelona. Publisher of FotoNostrum Magazine. Director of the Biennial of Fine Art & Documentary Photography. Lecturer and Curator.

  • Sergei Gavrilov
    Photographer, Cinematographer, Sony Ambassador, Lecturer
    He is engaged in advertising and magazine photography for famous brands. An associate member of the international agency Lensmodern. As a cameraman and director, he has created over 20 documentaries. Participant of "The Best of Russia" and the "Fashion and Style" festival.

    A photo artist based in Bangkok, his works have been shown in various photo festivals such as Miami Street Photo Festival, Singapore Photo Festival, Photo Bangkok Festival, etc. Chief editor of CTypeMag, e-magazine and Gallery in Bangkok.

    Interdisciplinary artist, Curator and Lecturer
    In her projects she explores the theme of particular places and their changes in the context of time and historical landmarks. Participant of many personal and group exhibitions. Curator of "Room and Wall" art space, including exhibitions and library.

Participation Requirements
  • Who can participate
    Contest is open for photographers from all over the world. You are welcome to apply more than once or as many times as you'd like. Applications are accepted in English only.
  • Technical requirements
    We accept for consideration images in the size of 1500 pixels on the longest side, 72dpi and JPG format. Do not add watermarks on images or contacts to your application.
  • Application fee
    The fee for the Series is 20 euros.
    The fee of submitting a single photo is 7 euros. The cost of two single photos - 10 euros. Four single photos - 15 euros. Seven single photos - € 19.

  • Copyright
    Photographs must be copyrighted by the applicant. Images will be used by FotoSlovo strictly in connection to the contest and will not be used for any other marketing purposes other than to promote FotoSlovo Prize on the website and on the social pages dedicated to the contest.
  • Prizes
    The full list is available at the Prizes column. Cash prizes will be paid in EUR (euro) via PayPal. Any fees incurred for foreign currency transfers will be deducted from the winning amount.
  • Dates of the contest
    The deadline for applications is March 31, 2022. The winners will be announced on April 17th.
  • The conditions state that the choice of topic is unrestricted. Does this imply a thematic freedom?
    Yes, the goal of the contest is not to simply highlight a certain topic, but to find the most creative authors. Entries will be judged by a nominated jury anonymously. A panel of experts in photography will each review all the entries and select a group of winners on the basis of creativity, artistic merit, subject and style.
  • Is there a limit to the number of photos in submission?
    Yes, you are limited to 10 photographs per series. But you can enter an unlimited number of series or single entries.
  • What is considered as a series?
    A series consists of at least 5 and no more than 10 images, sharing a common theme and a single title. Series will be judged as an entire piece.
  • How to make an entry?
    To enter the contest you should register on the form below. Simply log onto the website and follow the online instructions to upload images from your computer. When your submission has been completed, you will get an e-mail confirmation.
  • How can I pay my entry fees?
    You can pay by PayPal or credit card. All payments are processed in EUR currency.
  • Can I submit images with which I have participated in other competitions?
    Yes, images entered in other competitions are eligible.
  • How and when will the authors be informed about being a winner/finalist?
    The winners will be announced on April, 17 by an official letter to the mailbox filled in the application. Information about the finalists and winners will also be published on the FotoSlovo website and on our social media pages.
