WHITE SCAPES
White Scapes is a long-term black-and-white analogue photography project shaped by years of walking and looking in Stockholm. It traces a Nordic landscape formed by snow, light, and silence, and grows out of my earlier photobook Paradise Stockholm (Journal, 2014).

In these images, whiteness is not only a surface but a state of mind — both material and metaphor. It is a space where contours dissolve, distances blur, and time seems to hesitate. The snow covers and reveals at once, offering clarity while withholding certainty.

"Whiteness is not only a surface but a state of mind — both material and metaphor".

Beyond the visible calm of winter, the work reflects on contemporary society. Beneath the apparent order lies an unease, a fragile balance between fullness and absence, promise and illusion. White Scapes becomes a quiet meditation on our present moment and an uncertain future — an homage to the poetry of the real, filtered through a pale northern light.
