RABBITHOLE: BEHIND THE SCENES

The intention of my personal project "Rabbithole: Behind the Scenes" is to highlight the backstage life of actors in a country where being an actor or any kind of artist is a difficult task and where basic rights have to be fought for due to the lack of money and lack of meritocracy. Fortunately, at Rabbithole theatre, actors are treated exceptionally by the owners George Simon and Tonia Ralli , the Nostalghia Theatre Company.

The theatre play '1975' by George Simon is a black comedy which I personally love very much, as through its darkness I found a light within myself. In an underground bar in Athens in 1975, artists and clients find their own grounding through their mistakes and deceptions.

Technically, I create black and white aesthetics in experimental photography, with harsh contrasts of shadows and light, and a tendency towards noir and abstract minimalism. This is an expression of my tendency to go to extremes to find my own balance and rhythm in life.
